The ALBA HAUS is located at the threshold of the city of Basel, at the gateway to the BaseLink site. The ecosystem for the life science and biotech industry, for start-ups and globally active companies. In this house, functionality and aesthetics merge into one harmonious overall concept. The architecture is characterised by the conscious use of materials which are functional and at the same time make aesthetic statements. Transparent façades and interior spaces blur the boundaries between the inside and the outside. Strengthened by the balconies which circulate around each floor. The visible, load-bearing structure forms the architectural centrepiece.

However, architecture is more than building design here. It is quite clearly ecological. The integration of sustainable technologies such as a photovoltaic system, the use of geothermal energy and green electricity as well as the avoidance of fossil fuels underscores the commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. A garage for bicycles and charging stations for e-bikes demonstrate the focus on modern mobility concepts.
